Below are some of our frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions or concerns, flick us an email.

  • Your marquee quote includes:

    • the cost of the marquee itself

    • labour for erecting and dismantling your marquee

    • lighting for your entire marquee and lighting set up

  • Your marquee size will depend on the number of guests and what you’re wanting to fit inside of it. All George & Co clients receive bespoke floor plans to accurately map out your event and we’ll guide you as to the best fit for your guest list!

  • No it doesn’t! We can put up our marquees on concrete, tennis courts + more. If this is the case, weights will be required at an extra cost - get in touch and we can discuss this as an option with you.

  • Our marquee can withstand winds of up to 108kpm - well equipped for the mighty Manawatu. Anything stronger than this or any wild weather, we’ll install guy ropes to provide extra anchorage and an extra level of security.

  • For furniture our typically hire period is 3-4 days - we’ll drop off a day or two before your event and collect the following Monday.

For marquees the hire period is typically 5 days, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis with the client and the venue.

Any additional days for hire of marquee or furniture can be arranged at an additional cost.

  • Generally, we don't offer pick up from clients for furniture items. We love our furniture and prefer to take care of moving all our pieces for you, to ensure they’re kept in the best shape for you and for future clients.

Pick up of small goods + tableware may be arranged but a fee will still apply.

  • We love to cater to events of any size, however during our peak season (October - April) we ask for a minimum spend of $450 excluding travel/set up.

  • Yes definitely! If it meets the peak season minimum spend.

  • Of course! We have a display studio at 46a George St in Palmerston North. Viewing is by appointment only but get in touch and we’ll arrange a time for you to view your pieces or mock up a tablescape.
